Our Story
​Private Tuition Wickersley was created by experienced school leaders with the desire to help students navigate their educational journeys. It was established with the intention to provide expert tuition and guidance for young people who are lacking in confidence or have missed out on vital educational milestones. Our aim is to ensure the young people of our local community have educational experiences that enhance their learning and also supports them to flourish and reach their academic goals. We offer a range of 1:1 tuition and group tuition for students of all ages and abilities. Our expert tutors are all highly qualified and experienced teachers who have a wealth of knowledge of how young people learn. Each tutee is matched to a tutor who is a specialist in their specific learning needs.

Philippa, the founder, is an experienced examiner and former Assistant Principal and Head of English. She specialises in providing GCSE and KS3 English tuition to help students achieve their academic goals.
Janice- Tutor
Janice is a highly skilled educator who has worked in multiple schools in South Yorkshire in positions of senior leadership. With her extensive knowledge of how students excel throughout school, she is a valuable member of our team. Janice is particularly adept at preparing students for SATS and provides tuition to KS2 and KS3 pupils.
Viv- Tutor
Viv is a highly experienced educator and senior leader with a proven track record of success. With her guidance, your child can overcome any challenges they may face in their journey. Viv specialises in GCSE and KS3 English tuition.
Joanne- Tutor
Joanne is a highly experienced primary tutor who has worked in both mainstream and alternative settings. With her in-depth knowledge of additional learning needs, she can transform reluctant learners into enthusiastic students. Joanne offers KS1, KS2 and KS3 tuition, providing a supportive and engaging learning environment for all her students.
